Mauresmo Creates History in LA
After more than three hours of nail-biting tennis, Amelie Mauresmo won the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour Championships presented by Porsche, becoming France's first winner of the season-ending event. Mauresmo outlasted compatriot Mary Pierce, 57 76(3) 64, in a high-quality match that featured 99 winners.
